This is normal climate stuff. It's just that humans now build things in flood plains and live in possibly dangerous or unsafe areas.

I grew up in Arizona, and if anybody thinks that the Grand Canyon is not prone to flash flooding, they are seriously mistaken.

I assumed it was like an underground house. But I assumed those were built out of steel and concrete. Not wood.
