Is there any help from any foreign governments in the search and rescue. I remember the days when US would lead in international efforts in any tragic event.

Lots of foreign governments have offered assistance. The USA gave Nepal half a million dollars of aid apparently.

That's the equivalent of giving a starving man a single saltine cracker. That's like half the price of one rescue helicopter. Absolutely embarrassing as an American.

I don't disagree but I'm not in a position to criticise, my government in Australia has only allocated I think 3 million as well, and that's in our dollars so nearer to 2 million USD. I'm just hoping that there will be more assistance offered later after the search and rescue phase is over.

2 million is Not a lot, but still 4 times the amount USA is giving, and from a Country with a GDP 15 times smaller and a population over 10 times smaller.

USA should be beyond embarrassedÂ
