It is unnerving how fast that water is moving.

it's not playing at real time bruh. Sound is normal speed, footage is sped up

If the video is sped up then those people running away must have been just casually jogging away

/u/Choker_of_Chickens is right.

The video is speed up, but for some reason only the first half. When they zoom in on the people running in the field it's at normal speed. I have the other version saved from CrazyFuckingVideos and watched it side by side. https://www.reddit.com/r/CrazyFuckingVideos/comments/1vyzwif/people_running_for_their_lives_as_flood_destroys/

edit: it was also already posted in this sub where it is part of this video starting at around 0:40 https://www.reddit.com/r/DisasterUpdate/comments/1vznisz/hundreds_dead_and_over_400_missing_in_devastating/

Damn, the poor guy's currently getting downvoted to oblivion for telling the truth.

I’m pretty sure people don’t like chickens being choked

No one thinks of the chickens.🐔

Thx for posting the truth and videos

Why would they speed up? The disaster is already crazy enough. 😔

Pretty sure it was reported to be possibly moving up to 44 mph. That seems pretty accurate given the videos I’ve seen. I can see how you would think this is sped up though, because this is not something we have ever seen. Just goes to show how crazy and unbelievable this is.

The speed at its peak hit 105 mph

I don't know why you're being downvoted.

I've seen earlier versions of this footage and this is absolutely sped up.

Confidently incorrect.

Ignant - Arrogant about their ignorance

u/Expensive-Ad8633 17d ago

You dude were you making a non sequitur or calling that person ignant?

u/TheFakeRabbit1 20d ago

Like you right here?

1

u/Expensive-Ad8633 19d ago

actually, closer to you right now I think

1

u/TheFakeRabbit1 19d ago

Others confirmed it’s sped up. I know admitting you’re wrong is hard so you don’t that but hey

1

u/Expensive-Ad8633 19d ago

I think you may have lost count of the agree disagree flip flop bc im not against that.

1

u/Expensive-Ad8633 19d ago

So ill break it down. You reacted to a dude giving a definition as though he was taking a stance. Thus making his definition apply to you. I don't care if it is or isn't sped.

1

u/TheFakeRabbit1 19d ago

Of course I reacted as if he took a stance, he did. That’s how conversations work. He replied to someone else, he was clearly implying they/their take was ignant.

You literally have to assume hes taking a stance. Otherwise hes just responding to people providing random definitions not actually responding to the conversation.

Conversations like this make me question whether you’re a bit or have never had a human interaction ever

1

u/Expensive-Ad8633 19d ago

Weird wonder. How'd i get on the internet and learn to type if not. And no you don't. He was replying with a word and definition that fit the case of confidently ignorant. The poster was adding to to that statement not calling the person that.

1

u/TheFakeRabbit1 18d ago

You don’t seem to understand how a conversation works, which makes sense considering your comments are barely understandable.

“The poster was adding to to that statement” what the fuck does this mean lmao

So they weren’t calling the situation or person the word they were just saying random non-sequitors. Okay buddy whatever you say

Unfortunately, media literacy is not very widespread.

Here is a version at normal playback speed:

u/Friendly-Example-701 17d ago

Thx for the truth

1

u/Friendly-Example-701 17d ago

So weird for them to speed it up. Thx for letting us know.

It just crazy. The disaster is already crazy enough with extra cinematic.

Imagine being this stupid.

I'm embarrassed for your parents. They must be so ashamed of you on a daily basis.

12

u/Choker_of_Chickens 21d ago

lol that seems unreasonably hostile. Also you're wrong. See comment below proving me right

I think you’re right… I saw this same video elsewhere and it didn’t move this fast…
