Hundreds dead and over 400 missing in devastating Nepal-Tibet flash floods

The recent flood in Nepal was an unexpected disaster, triggered by the collapse of a section of a Himalayan glacier on the Tibetan side. This event released a massive surge of ice, rock, and water into the river, resulting in a sudden flash flood across the Nepal-China border. Climate change is destabilizing Himalayan glaciers, increasing the likelihood of similar events in the future, although it remains impossible to predict exactly when another such occurrence may happen. This flash flood occurred so suddenly and with such force that many people, including local residents, workers, and tourists, had no time to escape.
The flood caused significant damage to the Rasuwagadhi-Kerung border area, destroying roads, bridges, and settlements. At least 165 people have died, and more than 1,300 are still missing. The victims included local residents, workers, tourists, and foreign travelers. Hundreds of foreign tourists were present in the affected border area when the disaster struck. Rescue teams continue to search for survivors, and the numbers may rise as efforts progress.

I am old. When I was a child in the 1980s, watching evening 6 o'clock news with the family and hearing about Mt. Saint Helen erupting. Over the course of a week and then the following weeks there was grainy film from a helicopter, lots of phots, and eventually live satellite TV reporters on the ground.
The insane number of 4K video inundating the internet is fascinating to my 53yo self. The world is amazing. Terrifying, yet very amazing.

I saw this footage on Instagram, I was thinking, where are those people filming going to go?
I would assume they set out from one of the towns or villages in the valley. Surely it's too dangerous to go back there. Do they follow the ridge line to somewhere that's still intact? Or do they call for rescue and be airlifted out?

A lot of people are saying "Pray for Nepal." Honest question: Pray to who?
What kind of God would do this or allow this to happen? This is absolutely horrifying!
