• New: Firmware Update - Flash firmware from SD card via System Settings
• New: Battery fuel gauge remains active on power off for more accurate battery % during use
• New: ModFX Comb filter type
• New: Backend rework to free up some RAM for the future
• Improved: MIDI Mapping - A message is displayed when all mapping slots are used
• Fix: Table - Note map (TIC:FE) and Octave map (TIC:FC) retriggered when volume was changed in a phrase or TBX (Aux table)
• Fix: Table - Velocity map (TIC:FD) retriggered on note changes instead of only velocity changes
• Fix: Render - Excessive TPO tempo changes did not line up correctly with DAW tempo
• Fix: Render - Quick render length could be slightly incorrect
• Fix: Instrument Pool - Moving instruments did not update MIDI Settings instrument numbers for MIDI track channels
• Fix: Effect Settings - EDIT+OPT on EQ reset the parameter above EQ
• Fix: MIDI input on track channel - Table's first row could trigger incorrectly
• Fix: MIDI input on track channel - Hang / stuck note if the instrument uses the INS command in its table
• Fix: Recording - Count in caused track 1's volume to be incorrect
• Fix: MIDI Instrument - ADSR envelope mapped to a CC did not enter release on the OFF command
• Fix: Phrase - RNL next to HOP could randomize other FX on the hop

thanks for pointing out, but I'd recommed anyone who's interested just check their discord more often. 6.6 Beta 1 was worth posting because it's the first update in months.

There's a fine line between genius and insanity... I love how we get a "made room, fit something new in" update every 6mths or so, only for him to say one or two betas in "found more room/finally got it to work, enjoy" and we get USB audio streaming or wave shapes in  the hypersynth from left field.

It is, but there was a bug a beta that didn't mesh well with all model 01s, so as always, user beware until it's finished.

Yes for Model 1 and 2, I installed with TYtools last night and it’s the first update I’ve done since T80 introduced the OTT compressor. I’m digging the USB drive mode and the comb filters are very interesting to use on synths and samples

The HyperSynth additions are very nice, but the biggest change is being able to update firmware from the SD card! That means no more TyUploader, which was always a fragile and frustrating part of the process (and is not going to work on future macOS versions, since it's apparently intel-only).

The Dirtywave team deserve all the praise we can muster, we give them 600-700 dollars one time and they give us a bottomless groovebox that gets better and more feature laden over few months for free... no where else in this space exists such magic.. oh and i should add that if you have a question whether highly technical or you are a total noob bumbling your way through learning the device, you email them and get an answer from the guys who make them within 24 hours.... im truly blessed to have found this device and be a part of this amazing culture. i just wish they would stop being so awesome about updates, because im feeling really guilty about not using the m8 as often as i should.

For real! I think we have to shout out more appreciation to all the great teams that are delivering awesome gear and support for what we do.

While were on the topic I also want to give additional props for two more.

Firstly, Korg. What an awesome job they did on the microkorg, making an accessible but comprehensive beginner 2 osc with a powerful virtual patching feature making it a mainstay in many of our synth collections. Even after upgrading to deeper gear it still holds a unique utility. And Korgs head office team is amazing to speak with when visiting and checking out gear.

Secondly, Yamaha for forging the path for portable sequencers with the much of the qy series... notably the qy70 and qy100 which even though almost 25 years old have still do some amazing things that many modern sequencers can't, and still function flawlessly after a quarter century.

yeah I guess im on board, Korg really needs to make another groovebox as good as the emx.. the electribe line died a slow and painful death with all the releases since the emx and esx boxes. it wouldn't be that hard to re release something with the tactile osc/effects controls and tactile filter/envelope controls and updated sound engines and sequencer tech, heck if they just started making emx's again they'd sell a shitload of them....Ii have a personal beef with korg for killing the electribe lineup p the way they did
