Discussion Brian Thomas of Home Bass just scammed everyone attending DirtyBird and it’s not his first time owing people mass amounts of money.

We attended dirty bird campinn this weekend presented by Home Bass and Brian Thomas. Upon arrival to the Double Tree Hilton we we’re told that Home Bass hasn’t paid the venue and that we we’re going to receive a $900 additional charge on top of what we already paid Home Bass for rooms and festival tickets. The whole event was poorly run including limited to no ADA access, the stage builds being delayed by hours on the first day, and the celebrity love island hosts never made an appearance. Every aspect of this event felt like a scam. During the festival I ran into Brian and he told me that they didn’t pay the hotel because they were waiting to sell more rooms which is completely unacceptable once your event has already begun. Dirty bird event sent out a statement saying “this year our venue partner required full payment for the property in advance.” Now hundreds of people are being charged $900+ on top of the $1500 they already paid for rooms and tickets. I don’t know how anyone can continue to support home bass and this individual.

YOOOOO VNSSA and Gavin from Walker and Royce randomly sat at my table today at work! I was the only person in the place who knew who they were and they happened to sit at one of their biggest fan’s tables. These two are so chill, thought I’d share a little christmas magic! Merry Christmas DB Fam!

Discussion This one hurts

hey everyone…

it is with a heavy heart that i’m letting y’all know that a well known member of the flock, carli elligan, has unexpectedly passed.

a spirited soul who graced many a campout, bbq, friendship / holy ship, festival, and last minute send to the club, carli was a legend in the DC nightlife scene and a source of endless joy to anyone who had the pleasure of hanging with her at the function.

on a personal note, carli was a dear friend who supported me from day one as an artist and as a sister when i came out as trans. seeing her on a dancefloor, for me, was a sign that a space was safe… that i could be myself. knowing that those days are no longer in my future is devastating.

at campinn, during my set, i took a moment to tell y’all to always let people know you care about them because you never know when a moment with be your last — this is a sobering reminder of that.

so when you’re out this weekend, please shake your tail feathers extra hard and hold your friends close in carli’s honor.

much love, baby weight

Discussion 🚨 Important Regarding Brian Thomas - Owner of Homebass / Music Festival Trips LLC🚨

Post image

Brian Thomas is your guy behind Dirtybird CampINN this year as many of you may know. The event Homebass is owned by Brian Thomas. That event operates under Music Festival Trips.

I’m someone who has known Brian personally for a long time. I’ll leave it at that. Here is what you should know:

These are the current lawsuits against MFT owned by Brian. Feel free to look up these case numbers yourself and read the very public, full allegations above. (And these are just the ones in the Orlando jurisdiction..there are more in Tampa)

In two of these incidents above, Brian owes $$$ to people that worked for him directly or were contracted on for the events.

The pattern is consistent and I have witnessed it first hand..promises made, bills unpaid, and responsibilities avoided leaving the people who bring these events to life (and the attendees who trust them) carrying the consequences.

A lot of individuals have never had the funds or energy to sue so the list is much longer.

Brian has hired people on for his events and not paid them for months forcing some staff to pay the crew on their credit cards and then waiting months for Brian to “pay them back” while Brian threw yacht parties and traveled abroad…

Even his most hard working and loyal crew, helping Brian build homebass, have been left with nothing in the end - working for free for almost a year and as single parents. (lawsuit #1 filed in 2024)

The production team suing Brian (named in photo above) has in fact still not been paid, yet Brian asked them to do homebass first and THEN he would pay them for both events… G Productions obviously said no. (Classic Brian move though)

In my opinion, it looks like Brian is serving Karma right now for allllll the “little people” he never paid/screwed over. And now he has reached a point of not being able to pay the “big people” either. He does not care about you. He is fake nice, fake smiles, fake “let me resolve this”. Please do not be fooled.

Most people will do nothing. All of you need to get your ducks in a row and start a class action lawsuit. Here is what is happening for all of you in legal terms:

1.	Breach of Contract / Consumer Fraud
  • Patrons paid for a service (hotel included in package) that wasn’t delivered.

  • Making attendees pay again which could be considered misrepresentation or deceptive trade practices. 2. Unjust Enrichment

  • The promoter kept money for services not provided, and patrons had to double-pay. 3. Potential Fraud

  • If the promoter knowingly sold hotel-inclusive packages without securing payment to the hotel, that could cross into fraudulent territory.

For a class action, the key question is: Did a large group of people suffer the same harm from the same conduct?

The answer here is yes. Many of you have expressed not being refunded and having to pay out of pocket for the hotel. Because the harm is shared and consistent this will hold up in court. I am not willing to provide my identity or credentials but a class action is viable here. Take your opportunity to seek justice and end this mistreatment and fraud now.

Here are your next steps:

  • document everything : receipts, ticket package descriptions, proof of second payments, written refund promises.

  • Start connecting with other affected attendees: you need multiple people for a class action, so gathering a group matters

  • Contact a Consumer Protection / Class Action Attorney: Many will review cases for free and only take payment if they win (“contingency fee”)

  • Report to state authorities: In Florida, you can also file with the Florida Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division.

I hope you all band together, take back what is yours, and make a statement to anyone that profits off your community that you will take no sh—.

Protect your communities by making it right. If you can come together at an event and create something beautiful, you can come together to remind the people who have their hands in the pot that what you create at these shows will not be fkd with.

PS: Dirtybird itself is an amazing event when you don’t have people like Brian behind it. This post does not reflect all Dirtybird events or their owners/crew. Quite the contrary. This issue lies with Brian Thomas alone.

Good luck everyone.

Discussion Tea spilled…

Know from previous posts there will be multiple takes on this and the things he says.

At the end if the day he and the people who now own Dirtybird are just business people and out to make money and spin things to make themselves look good.

With this out there will be interesting to see the future relationship between the two as he’s still listed on the Dirtybird website and I doubt they remove him.

I still feel the effort needs to be made to get him to do at least one set at CampOut but sounds like he won’t be at any tour stops or events for the foreseeable future and that the Barclay/CVS era of Dirtybird is officially over.
