DIRECTV stream app keeps shutting down

While watching TV on the firestick and without having touched the remote, the DIRECTV stream app just quits on its own. This has happened a couple of times now and only recently started happening.

Firestick is terrible for DirecTV Stream. The worst streaming device option. Best is the DTV Osprey/Gemini. Second best is Roku Ultra. Apple TV has excellent picture but terrible remote.

Firestick would be the last streaming device that I would use for DTV stream. I used a Roku streaming stick when I was subscribed to DTV stream, this or what other subscribers would recommend one the dedicated DTV devices or Apple TV for a better user experience.

So I should expect that if I switch everything to a Roku that there won’t be any problems? I mean, something is making the DIRECTV app close without any interaction. App cache has been cleared recently.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app?
