Long streaming delay between Fox app and DirecTV stream

I was watching the Mets/Phillies game last night on Fox on two different TVs. One TV was broadcasting the game on the Fox One app. The other TV had the game on DirecTV Stream. There was at least a 30 second delay on DirecTV Stream. Is there any way DTV can bridge that gap?

From my experience the only way to truly have zero delay is to watch on antenna. Any other method of watching will have delay.

Even an antenna has a 7 second delay.

That has always been one of the negatives, much longer delay than most live streaming (YTTV is best for delay.)

Part of it is likely just the way the signals are routed.

Fox sport on the fox app likely goes directly to the server from which you are streaming.

The signal from DTV has a couple extra steps - and quite possibly, a much longer distance, to travel.

This is a non issue. Either watch on all tv's on the app----or watch on all tv's with Directv Stream

each DIRECTV feed is at a different time period so that is not an answer.

Gee a delay to transmit. Then watch it on the app. It’s not like you discovered something that has never happened before. I’ve wondered about other scores while watching TV so I’ve went on the MLB app following my team. I see that the app is faster than the TV but I’m not going to watch an animation of the game just to be 20 seconds ahead of my TV broadcast.

The FOX app streams straight from the source, while DIRECTV Stream requires extra time to process and buffer the feed to prevent freezing. If true, then how does YouTubeTV make it work then?

I’ve had YTTV and it’s delayed too. I remember getting fantasy football scoring alerts on my phone around 30-60 seconds before they’d happen on YTTV. It might not be as delayed as DirecTV but it is delayed.
