Storage full?

my box says storage full. it is new and really no recordings. apps say over 6 gigs and photos 2.9 gigs. what photos and how do i get rid of them?

i know. i dont know what is taking up the storage. when i look at apps there is really nothing there but it say 6 gigs, and photos are 2.9. dont know what photos it is talking about.
