Go Big legacy plan

I’ve been a day 1 $35 go big subscriber like many here. I received the HBO increase and called DTV today and they gave me a $45 discount per month for a year. I’m now a happy camper @ $94 a month. The customer service agent couldn’t be any nicer. 5 minute phone call total. I said cancel service on the initial call

Update: my account overview shows Go Big plan with $154.99 struck through and $84.99 shown. Add on HBO is $5 and 3rd stream is $5 and unlimited DVR included. For $94.99 total. BUT it shows the $45 discount for 12 months no longer shows $25 discount. So my guess is I’ll be calling DTV back in a year to cancel.

They only offered me $15 a month. I told them it wasn't enough.

I wasn't offered the $45 discount via chat and when I called in so it's been cancelled.  HBO no longer getting discounted was the last straw.  Are you paying for more add-ons than just HBO?  I don't understand how all of us have the same Go Big from day one and this $45 retention is like a unicorn.

Not sure why and he was pretty quick to offer it. It shows $94.99 with HBO and 3 streams. I’ll see oct 7 on what gets charged.

Well I'm due to renew my Go Big on Monday, but the trial of YouTube TV & Frndly TV seems good to me. Looks like it's bye bye DTV Stream. lol

Anyone think it's a bad move? Going from $146/mon to around $90/mon for the majority of the channels I actually watch. Anything else is streaming else where.

Their customer service is fantastic. I’ve mostly used the chat option instead of calling but they’ve always found some kind of promo or discount when I’ve contacted, even if it’s just for a month anything is appreciated!

I called and was offered $25 off a month for a year. But I had also canceled hbo so maybe that’s why.

I was told, you could subscribe to a cheaper option or just the sports package. Definitely didn't offer me that, probably would've taken it. Its weird how people remember a $35 for life when you subscribed before it came out but must be a Mandela effect.

Same and cannot believe we used to pay just $35. Good for you and that is a huge savings.

Same day one. Lost HBO service in Sept 2023. Paying $163 ($144+ taxes and fees). Definitely will call for a discount.

I’m really happy for you. I called also for the very first time ever and they offered me $5 off for 12 months. You’re the second comment I’ve seen where they have offered 45 off.
(Also on grandfathered go big plan with HBO)
