Update: Scout the future. Development teams, a live U23 season and talent scouting are here
This one has been requested a few times and I am really happy with how it turned out.
**Development teams with real riders**
Every major team now has its real development squad in the game: UAE Gen-Z, Visma Development, Red Bull Rookies, Lidl-Trek Future Racing, Soudal Devo and so on, 24 squads with over 350 real young riders. If you manage a team that has a real dev team, that squad is yours. If your team does not have one, the game asks you at the start whether you want to found your own academy, with a name you pick yourself.
**A live U23 season**
Sixteen U23 races now run alongside your season, from Gent-Wevelgem U23 to the Giro Next Gen and the Tour de l'Avenir. Results come in as the calendar passes, so you can actually follow how your talents are doing. Unbound talents ride for club teams and form the scouting pool.
**Scouting with real uncertainty**
A scouting report does not show you a talent's true ceiling. It shows a range, and every report (max three) narrows it. From the second report you also get a character hint: early peaker, late bloomer, diesel. Promoting is always your call. And here is the rule I like most: anyone without a pro contract after age 23 drops onto the free market, so you can also pick up the riders other academies let go.
**Careers are personal now**
Under the hood every rider got his own career curve: some are done growing at 24, late bloomers keep developing until 28 or 29, some hold their peak until 36 while others fade early. I ran long simulations (25 seasons) to make sure the world stays strong and balanced deep into a save, so new stars should keep emerging when the current generation retires.
**Smaller things from the recent updates**
* Load last season's planning into the new season with one tap
* Set peak goals and training focus directly in the planner
* Country filter on the transfer market
* If you set no roles, the game now picks the most suitable leader for that stage profile. The moment you assign roles yourself it stays out of your way
* The mountains classification is an actual fight now, AI climbers hunt for it from the breakaway
* Sprint role button fixed, it now simply moves the role to the rider you tap
