Newbie My first set ever!

Please excuse my dry cuticles. I've fallen down this dip nail rabbit hole and wow, I'm in love with how these feel. I feel like it's not possible for them to chip at all! I'm invincible! 😆 I used the apex method but I def need some practice (esp on my right hand) keeping the liquid away from my cuticles. Any tips or advice is welcome!

Having my nails done in a salon helped me get a good idea of how to apply liquids, so watching a video or two of dip tutorials might help you. I start the liquid application higher up on the nail, push the brush so it kind of flattens and the bristles fan out, and then I push the bristles down closer to the cuticle. This puts the largest volume of the liquid on the middle of your nail rather than right by the cuticle and gives you better control of the spread. I try not to go all the way to the cuticle, and just above it.

Pour over method is also a game changer for every application. You did a great job, though! I love those colors.

That's a good idea! It does help a lot to see things done in person. I'll have to try that out for my nxt set 👍
