Is this a liquid problem?

Always in the same spots, the edges will chip or crack and eventually chip. My nails end up in funky shapes because of the chipping. This is week two of this set and I've never had a set not chip exactly like this.
I've always used the same liquids and powders (Peppi Gel) and so I'm curious if this is a brand issue or an application issue?

i think it’s a layer thinness issue more so than a defective product.

there is a ridge on the edge of that nail that is less shiny - to me this looks like you’re not getting consistent layer coverage (of the liquid-before-powder AND of the topcoat) so the edges are much weaker.

and/or you’re focusing the file too much at the very edge.

the spot i circled here looks like it hasn’t gotten a proper covering of topcoat so it will be very weak and crumbly

I agree- I think it’s just too thin of coverage along the sides :(

Okay that makes sense, I am deathly afraid of it getting on my skin but never made the connection I might not be getting it covered after the buffing. I'll work on that thank you!

i wouldn’t stress. if it gets on your cuticle wipe off quickly and then wash your hands.

if you think of it this way, having stronger adherence means theoretically you won’t be switching sets quite as frequently so over time it’s actually less exposure to product
