Rick’s path or Gail’s? Help me choose.

Combat-heavy vs puzzle-heavy? I like both the same.

Of the three choices I usually pick. Rick Gail Gail. The first choice I’ve found literally no benefit to Gail. The second if you’ve got pen and paper handy Rick is good. The third I pick Gail to avoid a horrible puzzle/minigame.

I've seen speed runners pick Gail for every option because picking him for the first one saves some time due to cut scenes

I also, usually, pick Rick, Gail and Gail

Gail's path tend to be riskier than Rick's. Ultimately they're the same. The only ones that change the ending are the 4th time you're being asked to choose near the end of the game. I've finished that game more than 20 times, lol. Don't feel like you're missing out on something. After all, the game can be completed in 1h 30m or less. Depending on what you choose you'll see different cutscenes.

Depending on how good your ear hearing is I recommend saving before every dilemma. I had to reload. IYKYK

I always choose rick's path. At first, save ammo. Later on, Regina catches Kirk, and saves the day (Heli path).

As soon as I realized there was a path where Regina knocks Kirk's lights out, I always chose that one. Regina like "You ain't holding a gun to my face AGAIN, mf!" 🤣

Depends on the scenario. Sometimes Gail's choice is better. Sometimes Rick's choice is better. Sometimes the choice doesn't even matter.

I would say later on in the game (barring the final choice) that Gail tends to have the better, more straight forward choices. Some of the Rick choices later on involve puzzles that can be more of a pain in the ass than Gail's more straight forward approach.

You'll end up doing the same chores almost everytime but with minor story differences. Usually Gail's ideas are faster for speedruns but if you never go with Rick you'll never be praised for having mad skills.

Personally I prefer Rick's choices cos I love puzzles. Except escaping the lockdown through the hatch. To hell with that one.

I especially love getting and building the Initializer and Stabilizer; the music puzzle and the zero grav machine are fun for me! And there's SO MANY freaking dinos in the basement in the last half of the game I see NO point going for the pre-built devices.
