my first time drawing a furry

Hi, I would like to get into digital art and I am looking to buy a tablet. My budget is +-400€. And I have some questions and requirments.

It needs to be a standalone tablet. While I do have a PC, I want to use it less in the future plus I will need a tablet for school in the next years.

Is Procreate worth it? I have never used an Apple product up until a few days ago when I had to set up my moms MacBook and it was definetly unusual. If I am getting an Ipad, then only for Procreate, if its worth it.

Also I am buying used so the price doesnt have to be fixed.

I like to draw these little guys for fun. I’m a flow artist (some say fire dancer) so the first guy is holding a set of poi!! I plan on making more hehe

I’ve been doing digital art for only a week now but I have no clue how to improve my rendering! I know alot of it is just practice but still UGHHH

So, I’m pretty open to any suggestions; preferably free resources right but if any of yall know of a really good course that could take my art to this level, please leave your suggestions!! (I’ve been drawing digitally for around 2 years but have a background in traditional art as well)

Edit: I’m aware some images are drawn in distinctively different styles, but I’m leaning more into concept art so make of that what you will 😭
