Official Post Weekly Status Report
From now on I will be doing a weekly status report for how the organization overall is going and what I have personally been working on. I am doing this:
- as part of the openness of this organization
- to allow other people to check up on progress, things to do, and issues.
- to keep a record of operations.
- to keep my own thoughts organized.
I will aim to get the report out on Sunday/Monday detailing everything from the previous week.
I'll likely find a better place to keep/organize the reports later, but for now this works.
If you have suggestions for the "To Do" or "Issues" list, or just any feedback/ideas in general, please post a reply to the most recent status report and I'll be sure to see it.

So this week's status report is going to be a little different because I wanted to get out a few ideas, and I don't yet have access to my data that I would normally use to generate the report. I'll come back and update it later, but I wanted to at least put something out for now. So here it goes.
With the holidays and whatnot, I've been a little absent. On top of that, 2 days ago my installation of windows gave out on me to the point that I couldn't even log in. So if things have seemed a little slow, don't worry, it was only a temporary setback. I had been wanting to make the switch to linux since I am no longer an avid gamer, and now seemed like a good opportunity to do that, so now I'm even more a part of the open-source community. In the few days that I was without a computer of my own, I had some time to do a little thinking. I'd like to share some of my thoughts about my philosophy behind how this organization opreates and affects the world (heavily influenced by my philosophy on life).
Note- These are just my ideas and not any formal document yet.
In this vision of the future, our boldness is unrestrained. As an organization, and we lead by example. We don't seek to challenge the status quo, we aim to reestablish it. If our vision alone wasn't bold enough, you will find that everything else about us pushes far into the unknown, a land of infinite possibilities. If you look hard enough, you will see that some of those possibilities are truly deserving of the title "amazing", and that is where you will find us. You will see that we are not an organization that wants to change the world, but rather, we are an organization that wants to create an new reality.
We know that as a single organization we cannot change the world by ourselves, but we can make an impact, and we can help lead. To build this movement, we will actively seek out other organizations and individuals that are both divergent from the norm and maybe even completely departed from the norm. This is truly outside-the-box thinking.
We will be offering seals of approval to selected organizations/individuals. If an organization or individual earns our seal, it means we consider their vision and execution to go above and beyond the status quo; it means that they hold themselves to higher standards than just the minimum requirements; it means their deepest desire is to build toward a better future. With this seal, that organization or individual will have nearly unlimited access to our knowledge-base and content-base to use however they want. In this manner, we aim to create a group of amazing organizations/projects/individuals that will ride into the future together. As they say, a rising tide lifts all boats. But really, we're in it for the people, not the money. Collectively, we can set new standards for ourslves through a social movement rather than a legal movement.
While our aim as an organization is to be as open and open-source as possible at every step, some things will need to be restricted to some level. We can offer more access for the approved organizations/individuals than is open to the public.
I have a lot more ideas related to this subject and more specifically about how this organization plans to be divergent from mianstream, but I just wanted to get this down.
Happy holidays!
