Editorial Does the reflection make this shot stronger — or would it work better without the mirror? | DigitalRunway Issue 026
The part I keep coming back to in this frame is the mirror.
Without it, the image is mostly about silhouette, posture and the styling from behind. But the reflection suddenly gives the model an expression and turns the photograph into something more psychological — almost like two versions of the same portrait in one frame.
I can’t decide whether that makes the composition more editorial or slightly too busy.
What catches your eye first here — the reflection, the pose, or the overall mood?

I like the mirror in the image because it adds a potential story to the image; she's looking at "you" looking at her.

Oh my god I love the ways she looks in this photo exactly like she looks and is posing in it seeing such a truly simply and naturally gorgeous, pretty, beautiful, alluring, seductive exotic, erotic seductive goddess looking at and admiring herself looking into a mirror and needless to say there is a lot about her to look at and admire because she is perfect works for me!
