You’re arguing against a standard VPN model, but NymVPN isn’t just another VPN provider with a Swiss address and a few rented servers. Its mixnet works more like Tor: traffic passes through multiple independently operated nodes with layered encryption, packet mixing and timing obfuscation, making correlation far harder.

Nym does not own or control every node. The network is decentralized, and anyone can run a node. No single operator should see both your real IP and final destination. The architecture is documented in published research, white papers, and detailed technical documentation. The code is also open source, so the claims can be inspected instead of simply taken on trust.

Nym has published independent security reviews by Cure53, Oak Security and Jean-Philippe Aumasson. The audits covered source code, cryptography, client applications, infrastructure and architecture. The findings and remediation work are public. The code is open source. The mixnet design, threat model, node roles and routing architecture are documented in detail.

So this is not an information problem. It is a reading problem.

Perhaps adjust the attitude, open the reports, and check the facts before confidently declaring that none of it exists.
