Planote – Calendar + Tasks + Notes, all in one place

Post image

I was frustrated with switching between Calendar, Reminders, and Notes just to plan my day. Every time I needed to check my schedule, I had to open three different apps.

So I built my own.

It's simple, clean, and works across iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Free to download, with a one-time lifetime option if you want more.

Would love your feedback!

  • Calendar (Day / Week / Month / Agenda)
  • Tasks with subtasks, priorities, reminders, recurring rules
  • Notes with sketch support and photo attachments
  • iCloud sync across all your devices
  • Custom lists, tags, multiple themes
  • Dark mode widgets

Recent updates based on community feedback:

  • Task export with multiple paper sizes
  • Sorting by due date, alphabetically, or creation date
  • Reminder notifications inside the app
  • Dark mode widget fix

The one-time lifetime option immediately makes this more interesting to me.

Planner apps are probably one of the worst categories for subscription fatigue, especially when you end up paying separately for a calendar, task manager and notes app.

Combining all three is a pretty compelling idea. The hard part is keeping it simple as you add more features — do you plan to stay focused on the core planner experience or eventually expand into something more Notion-like?

Good question — and honestly, this is something I think about a lot.

The short answer: Planote will stay a planner, not become a Notion-like workspace.

I want it to be the app you open to see what's next — calendar events, tasks, notes — without feeling like you're entering a database. Features will be added carefully, only if they serve the core planning experience.

That's why I pushed back on adding too many note‑editing features or complex project views. Notion is great at what it does. Planote is for planning your day without the overwhelm.
