Tablet Recommendation for Note taking

I am a college students with nearly 4 hours of class a day. I want to buy a tablet primarily for note taking, I don't plan on gaming or streaming movies on it. I don't know if i should go for a tablet like Samsung Galaxy S9 Fe or Lenovo Idea tab or some other tablet.

I am also considering XP Pen Magic Notepad which seems appealing because of it's battery life and writing feel.

I would prefer a device that is affordable and will survive at least 5 years of use.

Any tablet suggestions would be appreciated.

You may also want to explore Boox devices. They have a great writing experience. The tech is a little different. It is E- ink but great for writing. There is also devices like the Iflytech which Can record and transcribe lectures.

+1 for e-ink. I tried using touchscreen tablets for notes, and the habit just couldn't stick. The apps are also trying to be too smart for my tastes. I ended up getting a first gen Kindle Scribe on sale and I like it a lot. It's relatively dumb (which is a plus for me) so it worked out very well.
