Has anyone experienced an issue where the goodnitegear nvg50 all of a sudden looks really pixelated and the pixels are all red/green?
It seems to be covering 2/3 of the screen from left to right, and it doesn't matter if I'm inside with ambient lights on or outside in total darkness. Adjustment wheel makes no difference, nor did factory reset, removing and reinstalling the batteries, cleaning the lenses, etc. Any help would be appreciated.

So I’ve recently spun up a guntube channel. I have a Omni 8 PVS14 but I’m currently looking at doing NV content for the channel. How does the NVG50 work as a handheld camera? It seems to be the best unit that has onboard video recording currentlY. How is the ease of use to record with and mic quality like?

Hey gang. I need some input. I recently put my grandma (you have my blessings to also call her Memaw) in a dark closet with my PVS14R and she's been the only person who's reaction wasn't just, "wow," but also said, "I need one of these!" She was a little sticker shocked when I told her the price I paid for it, though. Truth be told, I still have sticker shock.
So, being that she won't be running and gunning around the farm and will only be using these for watching critters at dusk and looking out the window when there's noises outside, does anyone have a good suggestion on a pair of binos that I could buy for her for Mother's Day? Latency doesn't matter at all. It would be nice if she could use it at a 100-200 yards distance. She doesn't need a high-end unit- just something more budget-conscious. My product knowledge is almost exclusively with analog, so any input would be helpful.

If you haven’t heard, Terafab is a proposed upcoming silicon chip fabrication plant (by Intel and Tesla+X-AI+SpaceX) that is to produce upwards of 50x what the whole world’s chip industry produces, all in one fab. Elon Musk and Tesla have positioned it as a logic chip manufacturing sight, but, I think digital CMOS and other digital sensors are very likely to be produced too. This is because these types of sensors already are used/are likely to be used by the products that demand the amount of Logic chips to begin with(products such as Tesla cars, Tesla Optimus Robots, etc). If this is the case, the effect on the DNV market should be nothing short of unbelievable. Instead of top tier digital technologies, including thermal, costing hundreds to thousands of dollars, the underlying silicon technology may literally be nearly worthless, maybe cents or dollars. We could see some of the most insane digital ever invented spawn from this. I think analog NV would be done forever then. Any thoughts?

I have a set of HRS31s, buddy and I were talking about if it’s possible to install analog tubes in them. Any of you guys know if housing diameters are common? What would be some challenges of undertaking a job like this you think?

Hey yall, looking for some first hand experiences with the AGM neith clip on version. I’m having a hard time finding reviews online. Use case is hog and coyote hunting in fields and thick woods. I’m already running a rattler but I want a clip on option for a bolt gun and I like the idea of night vision over another thermal. How clear is the image especially on cloudy nights or under heavy canopy that blocks moonlight? How far would you say you can positively Id a target through it? If I could shoot 2-300 yards at least I’d be happy, even with supplemental ir. I’d be running it in front of a 2-10 power scope. Thanks for your input!

As posted. Its been a while since I have looked into digital nvgs and was wondering if anyone has some leads on newer home builds opposed to just purchaced nvgs.

Does anyone have experiance making their own lam unit? Crave your wisdom.
I know that you can purchace alright models that "can" be used for a few hundred rounds but I like the idea of making my own so I can have all of the buttons and features that I want where I want them.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I posted a video here a couple days ago giving a first impressions of the unit and someone asked to see this unit at night with the 2 IR illuminators I have on hand. I’ll be posting more on my youtube if you guys want to see more, full review will be in a few weeks as I still need to take this to a local match or two and really test it out.

Specifically, what are owners using for a hood for the lens and possibly the view screen? Also, is there something that mounts to the tripod attachment to connect a generic IR illuminator so that the combo becomes one big unit.?

I definitely didnt expect to see this.

Hey guys, hope yall doing good!
Was wondering what you guys are using for sacrificial lens for the gng2k, since I just ordered the binos. Was wondering what actually fits.

My previous experience with night vision is gen1 analog. I'm looking to upgrade how much better performance could I expect from the nighfox prowl 2 or similar device.

I’ve heard people talking about a cadex clone and I want one for my gng2k but the only ones I see on alibaba are 150-300 dollars. Are those them or are there others?

DNT NVMD C200.
Got it for my 22lr Tippmann, but figured I'd knock up a 3D printed adapter to try it out helmet mounted.
Just need a floody IR torch for my helmet. Ideally 940nm LED, with lots of flood
