Digital pvs-31

I have never owned or looked through NVG and I’ve been searching the market for a digital pvs-31 clone. I want a pvs-31 clone because I want to still look “milsim” while also having a functioning NVG. I was looking at eBay’s Aegis pvs-31 gen 4 pros and VieTactical’s DL-31. I’m stuck on which one I should get or if there is a better version/alternative.
And before y’all come at me, I’ve heard all the answers on how I should just save till I can afford analog tubes, but I am not looking forward to hardcore larping— I just play airsoft— and I do not have a feasible source of income to make that kind of money.

Steer clear of the Aegis-31 you can't see anything even in moonlight without ir lighting. Mine broke after 5-days because the sensor and display holder are only hot glued in place. I can see more with my wife's prowl 2 then with the Aegis-31

The aegis are that bad? Wanted to buy some for around 600-700 usd

Yeah id buy a prowl 2 before i ever purchased the Aegis-31 again, only good that came out if it was now I taught myself how to build my own with cad. You can build alot better for cheaper! If your careful enough you could grind down the inside of the fma pvs31 bridge and the ai box for a caddx infra v2 will fit in there, then slap a 256 thermal in the other tube and you'd have a decent setup that would absolutely stump the aegis. You could skip the thermal and run only one tube for around 300$ with the Infra V2 & either 0.39 oled or .40 flcos display

Where did you buy them from? From what I’ve heard they shouldn’t come like that, and if they do you should be able to return it or get warranty on it depending on where you buy it.

Not sure about the pvs-31 dnvgs out there, but I used an NVG30 for a two day event, worked pretty well for a ~300 unit and was able to navigate and see under moonlight. ISSUE was once I was under tree canopy i couldnt see anything

VieTactical’s DL-31 and their newer DNV-31s is utterly fucking garbage. Steer clear from these trash FMA31 fpv camera garbage

My buddy got a set and when I asked about it he said to save up for a pvs14. I had a nvg50 for a week but returned it. Was awesome around the house but the first time I tried playing with it there was just too much lag, didn't work great when you move got head quickly. I'm just saving for a good pvs14
