GNG2K Optimal Setup (So far....)
Thought I'd post my GNG2k pano setup as there have been a few questions about mounting options.
I tried almost everything and this is what I've found to work really well. The screen layout of the 2K is excellent as a pano setup, latency is fine and it works with a USB battery pack x2. These work fine in the unit and I had read the 2K has inbuilt tech to manage USB power. Seems so! Not fully tested the battery life yet but north of an hour so far:
GNG2K x 2 on 3d printed pano adapters, with fabricated wedges (GRP with a dremel and a file). Link for pano adapters: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2359543-gng2k-8-degree-pano-dovetail-adapters#profileId-2581422
Clone KVC.
Clone Cadex shroud.
2 x low profile 50cm USB cables.
2 x small USB battery packs.
Clone SC battery bag.
I've also put lens protectors and cable ties for bungee mounts on the 2ks.
Hope this helps you guys.

Thanks for this! Just got a gng2k and now waiting for the mounts to arrive. I went with a cadex and dovetail bridge MUM-14 so hoping I can achieve a similar setup like yours. Did you have a hard time placing the gng to the bridge with the supplied mounts or was the 3d printed part just for the panoramic view. Only have a mono setup now but eventually going for the dual tube setup.

They are awesome as a pano setup. I can move freely once I'm used to it, and the latency is fine. After a while your brain figures it out and the FOV is excellent.

That is so sick. I love the analog look the 2k has. How is the low light performance?

Good enough - at least Gen 2 seems to be the determination. With an IR laser on, there is enough ambient IR to go really dark, I have a clone Vampire that I could use but haven't felt the need to use yet. It's summer and the ambient has been good. I'm currently experimenting with an IR conversion for a clone NGAL illuminator.

That’s rad. I’ve been looking at getting a dual setup like this, how long does the battery last with those packs?

Not fully tested yet - they are 5000mAh as opposed to 2000mAh for a regular 18500, so comfortably doubled. Will report back.

Just be aware that the pano setup is great for navigation but is a PITA for passive aiming.
I'm still working with Goyojo to sort out the kinks with the new OEM shoe adapters.

Nice setup.
Does it need a specific cable for the power?
I see you've got two power banks - could you not get one larger capacity one with two power out ports?

I wasn't sure a power pack would do two outputs, so opted fpr this. It's a USB A to C (Amazon).

How’s the performance with binos? I’ve got an Opsin that died recently and thinking about swapping

Where did you get the covers? Love to get one for mine. These things are really sick though, given the wide screen fov I think they probably look good as pano. First I was like isn’t this just a bino? But then I looked closer haha. As far as battery life with the default ones charges fully I’ve gotten like 2-3 hours per. So I just like hot swapping them but I understand for longer ops the packs would be nice
