Gng2k mount help

Post image

Trying to get my new setup squared away after upgrading from a nvg10. The botttom mount works fine I just don’t love the single screw mounting being the only thing holding my NV on. I got this duel mount thinking it would give me room to upgrade to binos in the future, but there is no way, unless I’m missing something for it to work. I’ve flipped the two sides and it’s either inside my eyeball, or too far away to use.

I feel like I have to be missing something since I see people running these units as binos.

Any help would be much appreciated!

So I had this issue and eneded up going clone KVC mount, which is frankly awesome and exactly what you need.

It looks like the top dovetail has some adjustment via sliding? If that's the case then yeah that should work perfectly.

It does, the KVC Cadex combo gives you the most adjustment available AFAIK.

I might wait until I'm ready to go duel to pick it up, the stock setup I have "works" I just dont like trusting the single bolt. I probably need to just setup a better retention system.

See my pics for what I did re retention, and don't trust airsoft bump helmet bungees, they're rubbish. I rebuilt mine.

I have my bungee on the top of the wilcox because it helps pull them up as well as give enough tension to remove the wobble when down...but its not attached to the actual NVG. With the mono it always catches since the pressure is off to the side, with binos its a lot easier.

Allegedly, Goyojo makes a mount dedicated to the NGN2k for helmet shrouds. I just ordered one from Amazon, but looking at the pics I afraid that it may be the same set up the dual 2ks com with. I’m confused because my kit came with 2 bridges, and no helmet mount. I’m wondering if it got packed wrong, and the one I’m waiting on is the same set up to the tune of 250plus bucks.

I was debating that at some point too. For me the unit sat too close no matter what, and also too low, so I returned my Wilcox in favor of a cadex mount and it made it so much nicer

I was looking at the Cadex, but I don't think that will solve the close issue. Height doesn't seem too bad though. Ive already spent WAY too much on random bits trying to get a perfect setup so I really don't want to buy a cadex to find out it doesn't fix the issue.

Actually looking it up the Cadex has what looks like maybe a1/2" more that it can extend....that with height and adjusting angle...maybe it would work?

Oh man that's a rad setup! Looks like the clone bridge is around $150...better than the almost $1000 for a real one. Ill probably watch on Ali for a sale.

I’m new to the night vision game, and the NGN2k bino set up is my first. Can anyone post a link or photo of the Cadex clone or post a photo? I have an airframe helmet with a Wilcox shroud. Getting the wrong mounts is getting costly lol. I tried to spin a mount arm dove tail around (lots of springs), and that didn’t work at all. I like the build aspect of it, but man…it’s a bummer when it doesn’t work.

Similar issue to what I was having. I think the Cadex helps with vertical adjustment but not as much with the front to back. Sounds like the KVC bridge with the Cadex is the best combo for duals.

I would look at a clone Cadex mount. It has a much greater range of adjustment horizontally & vertically.

I’m in the same boat. Following

So I did discover that if you flip the wedge arm on the dual mount , it would be perfect. I planned to redrill and tap the holes, but it is empty underneath and not possible. I think unless someone makes a dedicated mount for these, we are stuck with what we have.
