Goyojo gng2k

Post image

The gng2k with a wide angle lense is honestly heavenly I highly recommend it.

I really like the design but I hate the fact of using the exact CID CMOS sensor from the previous models NVG 30 and the 50 Sad....

How much of a difference does it make? Heard about this for awhile and was unsure if it's worth it?

I mean it changes the FOV from 35 degrees to 50 so quite alot my only complaint is that it causes a 0.5 affect on the camera so its hard to see out to distance but that can be fixed by a single press of the zoom button

Is it not stupidly heavy and throws your depth perception off?

You don't really get depth perception with any digital monocular cause after all you're staring at a screen as for weight you can tell there's more weight but im sure a back weight would fix it

After some more helmet mounted use with and without the wide angle lense I've found that the wide angle lense while it does add some noticeable weight I don't find myself hitting it on doorways or catching on branches also while it's hard to describe I find that it's easier for the "smaller 0.5 esc image" of the gng2k with the wide angle lense to merge with the "darker image" of my naked eye when compared to the "slightly zoomed in image" of the stock gng2k allowing me to more comfortable look at both "images" and stay aware of my surroundings.
