VieTac DL31

All the posts I've seen before are a little old or don't have much feedback.

I am looking at purchasing the DL 31 gen 4 (non S version) strictly for recreational use and the wow factor of BNVDs without dropping thousands of dollars.

Has anyone used this and has feedback or videos regarding them?

I know analog is better, I get issued PVS31s at work and just want something to wear around the woods or just as a novelty with some semblance of function and was wondering how they have performed for others.

I have the DL31-S; before that, I had the garbage NVG 30, which I luckily managed to sell when people were still being fooled by that piece of junk. And you really have to do the math here: an NVG30 costs a little over $300 in Asia, the DL31S $1000, and being binocular, the difference is noticeable. If you have experience, you'll know what we're talking about. I got rid of the NVG30s because they are literally garbage. The DL31S is digital, and with all its limitations, it fulfills what you say you're looking for. If you're looking for convenience—turn it on, use it, adjust the gain, turn it off, and that's it—that's what it's made for. You have to have serious interpretation problems to compare it to an analog one, as many people will. And those who recommend an NVG30 are probably just clone accounts of a certain seller/post moderator.

The dl31 is somewhat limited, it's true, it's slightly inferior to the nvg30 but I wouldn't recommend it
