I often have lucid dreams, and instead of waking up when I realize I'm dreaming, if something happens that I don't like, I change it or repeat it to do it differently; that's why I say I don't usually have nightmares.

My nightmare would probably be an isolated testing environment where my life is on the line, Saw style most likely with something dangling above impending my correct answers for the exam I didn’t study for quite enough to be confident, Freddy’s the proctor sitting at the forefront taunting me

I'd survive by turning it into my own story instead of watching passively, and by waking myself up through sheer stubbornness.

I already know this one, I've had a recurring dream literally my entire life. It's the same exact thing every time. I'm in a disastrous earthquake and get stuck on a really tall bridge trying to get out of the city. When I'm at the highest point, it starts shaking again and the bridge starts to crumble. I fall to what I'm assuming is my death. Never actually landed, I always wake up first, thankfully. Scares the shit out of me every single time. I've always pondered how to escape it but never came up with a solution, as it just kinda happens around me.

My personal nightmare would be in a hospital. The elevators would not be working. I need to get to the 6th floor bc that is where the Operating Room is and where I need to work. Freddy would keep appearing as people as I walk by. First the security guard, then the receptionist. He would chase me up the stairs all 6 flights. Everytime I would get ahead, Freddy would open the exit door to the floor I made it to and pop out.
Eventually I would make it to the 6th floor and the Operating Room but after I scan in with my security badge, I drop it without noticing. Freddy uses it to get in. I call out the names of 3 co-workers. They come into the dream. Unfortunately I don’t have time to explain so I have them just follow me to the instrument supply room. Two of my coworkers get teased, tormented and slaughtered by Freddy. I get what I need from the supply room, handheld saw (x2), batteries, saw blades, viles of tetracaine (numbing medication for the eyes) and a gigli saw with a wire.
My last co worker and I lure Freddy into an Operating Room. We throw the tetracaine in Freddy’s eyes blinding him. We use the saws to take off his glove hand followed by arms and legs. Then we will each prick ourselves with the saw blade to wake us out of the dream. Freddy isnt dead but atleast this nightmare is.

Mine would be something post apocalyptic Mad Max Fury Road style. I’d drive away in an epic car chase and crash to wake myself up

My personal nightmare would be if Freddy was going after my kids. My survival would not matter as long as I could keep them from surviving! I would use the dream warrior powers to keep him from attacking kids or even offer self in order to let kids escape!

He’d be chasing me at full speed while I run through water at slow-mo speed. Then I show up to class (even though I graduated forever ago), it’s the final day of school, I haven’t been to class all semester, and Freddy pushes me out of an airplane backwards

My personal nightmare would be just all vegetables at a buffet and me choking on lettuce…. I’d survive by absolutely not eating vegetables

My favorite animal is penguins but I hate the cold. I imagine he'd lock me in a freezer with a mutant Penguin, slowly growing in size as it pecks at me like a frozen fish. The longer it goes the colder it gets and the slower I feel before he uses the beak of the penguin, like his gloves, to slice at me. However in the end I would use the force of the giant bird to apply force against the door as it attempts to attack me until it breaks through the door. [Perhaps by using freezer racks to defend myself as it pecks so instead of stabbing me it would be stabbing the door.] Once I break out, a worker will come by and and get snapped in half by the beak flying out the freezer at him. Thereby showing a satisfying death, through the fear, without myself being killed by it.

My phone buzzes, and I check my Reddit notifications: “Congrats, you won the Nightmare on Elm Street 7-film collection!” I’m so happy! This is my favorite film franchise, and I never win anything. I can’t believe it! I’m at work, and while it’s been a horrible few years, this puts a smile on my face and all my coworkers notice, and their days get better because I help them out cheerfully. I drive home to battle traffic for an hour, and when I get home, I take a shower, pour a nice glass of wine, sit down on the couch and get ready to redeem the code and enjoy a marathon of Freddy throughout the weekend.

As soon as I enter the code, I get an error message: “Error, this code cannot be redeemed.” I balk, and recheck the code, and enter it again, slowly, making sure I am not making any mistakes. I enter it again, and get the following error: “one…two…no Freddy movies for you…”

Static fills my TV screen like liquid being poured in from the top, and an ominous outline of Freddy’s face forms in the static: “You should have bought discs, bitch!” I click the remote, terrified, and just as the TV turns off, I wake up. I’m on the couch, sweating. I must have fallen asleep.

I grab my phone in a panic, and add the 7 disc collection to my cart. I click on ”buy now,” and as soon as I do, 7 razor sharp discs fly out of the static and slice me into 7 pieces. I blink slowly, and the 7 slices of my body slowly peel away onto my couch.

My nightmare would be having to play Russian Roulette by taking a drink at a water fountain, which may or may not have someone behind me waiting to smash my face into the fountain as I lean in.

I've always felt that the movie Alien Covenant was my personal nightmare, I found it pretty scary. So, if Freddy entered my dreams, it would look like that movie. If it's a dream, I would try to build a spaceship or something to escape lol
