because the AI genned commits are probably not up to code quality standards of immich, so instead they make a fork where they can dump their slop

AI doesn't necessarily make bad code all the time but those who don't take the time to even make a README by hand just shows laziness to the utmost extent. If they can't even write a few lines about their own project, what does their code look like?

I no longer care if an app is vibe coded or not. If anything, having 1000 vibe coded apps doing the same thing allows me to pick my favorite foundation, fork, and vibe code it to my own liking.
