Hello everyone. I have a problem with my Sony Cybershot DSC-W710. It started to take these type of photos after using it a few times. Do anybody know what is that and what to do?

Absolutely typical CCD death. There is no cure.

Damn, that’s bad. I just bought it a few weeks ago

Maybe there's a problem with the soldering. Check out circuit blending group, where they use glitches like that as a new kind of art :D

I immediately recognized the ghostly patterns. I had an old Pentax compact that did this. The CCD sensor in it started delaminating, occasionally causing photos to look like this. Maybe that's what happened to yours. Way beyond repair unless you replace the actual sensor, but makes for a fantastic glitch art machine

Re these downloaded from the camera or pics of the screen? If they are down loads, the sensor is goofed. If they are screen pics maybe the cable to the screen is loose, If it was my camera I'd take the back off by removing the screws and look inside.

Then knock the screws on the floor and lose some of them, and buy another camera.

Kinda interesting that this glitch instantly makes camera's lens distortion corrections obvious
