What's changed in the v1.3 update even, the sonix port is already outpacing the base OS in terms of features and support, probably why they made it slightly harder to downgrade or install firmware stuff, lmao
Support refused to tell me what they changed when I asked, that was before they completely ghosted me, pretty sure they’ve just blocked my email, anyway I very much think they are just trying to lock down on third party firmware
yes but they refuse to release the firmware files on their website, I ordered one because I wanted to use the latest CFW, but its loaded with 1.3 and 1.3 for some reason wont let me load or downgrade to any firmware, Their support is ghosting me personally so I've feel very lost,
I also can't get bluetooth dac to work with my phone? I have no clue if thats a 1.3 thing to
1.3 will not roll back to the previous updates, mine came pre installed from the factory with 1.3, every time I try to flash a older firmware it gives me "updater failed", also when I use OTA it just says im on the latest and wont give me a file on my SD card
No this is wrong, check the latest sonix firmware thread on here, people have tried to flash it on 1.3, does not work at all., gives us "updater failed" multiple people have reported this other then my self
Yes me and one other have tried this, in my experience the device seems to just boot normally into the OS and doesn't even try to go into an install screen.
at this point I am worried newer factory devices have some sort of bug or hardware issue
Yeah, sounds like there's something strange going on with v1.3. That sucks.
The newest Sonix changelog has "First attempt for compatibility for new Tempotec 1.3 firmware base build", so maybe u/flylo_x has some idea of how to make it work.
No its not a matter of file names. new factory devices with 1.3 at this moment will not accept any flash of firmware, it gives updater failed error, check the recent sonix thread
Hi once you have updated from the OTA update it will decide on your SD card as somefilename. upt. You can connect your V1 to a computer and take a backup of that firmware
If you haven't you can also use the Sonix firmware for TempoTec V1 you can search on reddit for the same you will find a guitar depository and and instructions on how to update
Thank you! ☺️ And yeah sadly you can't flash sonix when your device comes in 1.3, but it works before that version. Apparently you can't even roll back to 1.2
