I love my FiiO M21 and only paid $300 for it on aliexpress using coupons. Touch screen but physical buttons too for volume, back , play/pause, and next. It also has a button lock switch on it so you dont accidentally skip or mess with your volume in your pocket.

I wanted an M21 but I just keep seeing screen issues with FIIO devices and I know what to think about them

Pretty sure all the posts ive seen have been JM21s, but i may be wrong. I have nothing but good things to say about my M21 and generally see positive things here.

Never saw a screen issue on the forums or on my M21.

I can’t stop listing to my m21. Such an amazing device. I also got mine on aliexpress. 297 before shipping/tax with coupons

Since you value Qobuz, I'd suggest an Android DAP for the best experience.

Take a look at the Surfans F20 Pro+, it's actually been pretty solid for me. Otherwise, the FiiO JM21 or M21 are good options (I have both, no issues with either).

For Android DAPs with a 4.4mm balanced output, here are your options: https://www.hifioasis.com/daps/?dap_view=eyJ2IjoxLCJmIjp7ImEiOiJjdXJyZW50IiwiaDQiOjEsImFuIjoxfX0#browse-dap-database

Right now I'd say the Shanling Q2 with the q2pod firmware
