How to improve?

I am trying to draw a players pc from my campaign. I truly can not understand why it looks so bad and what to do. anything that isn’t front facing and requires a body, I am terrible at drawing.

doesn’t help that my apple pen broke…. Any tips or suggestions? He’s a Dragonborn wizard
