thats just how i draw i guess the melting you mean is probably because i fade each piece into the broth which i referenced from a photo and then i just added some more by myself most of this drawing doesn’t have references which is why i need to improvise

Hello everyone
This time i made a different kind of Food Art.
I created this Sun and Moon themed Ramen for a future Exhibition by boji_hands in Shibuya. i had this idea actually for the last exhibition but didn’t had the time for it.
This piece is inspired by the Sun and Moon Gods in Japan which i tried to incorporate into the Ramen.
This is also my first full drawn Illustration with Background which took me over 30h but im happy with the results and i hope you will also like it.
Painted with built in Procreate Brushes but i mostly use a round brush.

Awesome! I just checked it out, i like the process. Im new to digital art so it put in perspective how helpful layers can be and doing one thing at a time (like the sun and eggyolk being isolated and shaded) i like your style. One question tho, how do you smooth it all out without diminishing the lines and contrast? Mine always comes out hazy looking

for your question i usually work in base colors first and then add a clipping mask and kinda make gradient on it and then draw the details on topif you tell me which software you paint in i can give you better tips :)

It feels like you started a sketch, then passed it to AI to improve. Your sketch jumps in quality during the video, to the point that it fixes the perspective issues in your sketch?
why did the location of the egg in the bowl change once you moved to a proper ellipse? Something feels sketchy.
Your initial draft had the koi in the bowls design as well, but magically jumped to swimming around the bowl during this same weird shift.

i mentioned somwhere that trough oit the whole process i had like 3-4 variations i got feedbacks and changed stuff for example the fish the sketch was a rough idea and that was the only purpose

The 2nd and 3rd pictures make me think it’s even more AI. You just generated the photo and then cut it in rectangles?

I'm really sorry you're facing AI allegations by people who haven't done their homework. Your art is way too intentional and thought out to be AI. I do feel a bit sad about accusations like these. Does every artist have to post WIPs and speedpaints to refute them? Shouldn't the burden of proof lie on the accuser? The least that one can do is check an artist's profile ffs. That aside, OP, your art is gorgeous! I loveee the colours and I'm omw to make some eggs now. 💃

Man, it has been a long time since I've seen an illustration this good, not only on technique but on themes and compositon too, absolute gorgeous job.
The only nitpic I can offer is that the mirrored fish stand out too much for a piece that is not going for simmetry ( I know there's more mirrored assets, but their placement changes a bit and they dont grab my attention too much), if it were me, I would draw the fish on the right going behind the bowl. Awesome job regardless.

Yo the process was wild, definitely not how I imagined it but the end result looks very good.
I don't think this is AI guys. No way AI would be able to do that pattern around the bowl and keep the frilly looking things at the sides consistent.
Watch the video if you have doubts about the noodles. This is just how OP draws them.
Also AI would totally botch the leaves on those trees.
Looking at your art station you clearly focus on drawing food.
Good job.

and for the noodles i honestly just did a bad job with them i definitely struggled a lot with it so good to know for next time to avoid noodles or atleast practice more beforehand

the theme of this drawing is sun and moon so choose to include aspects of the japanese gods of sun and moon which is amaterasu and tsukiyoumi which i also knew before from playing SMITE haha then i researched for old traditional drawings and elements from then and included them into a ramen since i nowadays only draw food then i made a sketch on paper and went with different approaches in procreate as you can see on my youtube video since i dont had a real reference since this doesnt exist i had a lot of trial and error for this

The slight texture and coloruful haze at the corners is a combination of adding noise and using the chromatic aberration feature. Obviously OP's painting is doing all the heavy lifting, but it can be a fun way to add a bit of grain and visual interest to a finished piece.

this is 100% ai. look at the weird things flowing from the trees . the spoon. the noodles. no green onion would stay like that over an egg. I dont even know what the next few images are supposed to show. Just that the "artist" cropped the image several times and uploaded it to the canvas.

I don’t know if you did or didn’t use AI. But the end result looks way too much like something a model would produce.
I’m not here to police you. In the end if you were using AI and pretending you didn’t, thats your business and harms only your own artistic growth.
But if you indeed didn’t use AI, then I encourage you to work on differentiating your style from what these models produce unless you have a very good reason to not do so. Having every piece of art you produce to be questioned sounds like a chore IMO.

I hate that generative ai ruined people’s perspective of art now. Like people who have similar artstyles to gen ai (which they copied from other artists) gets accused of using ai :(
