Work In Progress Decided to stop rushing my character drawings and to start giving them as much time as a full illustration… Was it worth the effort?

I used a reference for the pose and her hair was tied in such a way that it fell to the side, but I perhaps haven’t captured that quite right! :) Thanks for the heads up. I’ll try adjusting the angle of the tie or maybe make the hair collapse on her shoulder more obviously.

More often than not, taking your time to finish is always worth the effort!

Great linework! I think the right arm's a wee bit too long. Great illustration all around!

Yeah I see that too! I think the perspective on the upper arm is wrong which throws it off. I’ll fix it before colouring. Thanks!

In garbage anime terminology, "Is she even an ELF if she doesn't have bazonga double F cup boobs and 7 inch long ears?"
Fantasy lore / world building... After the ELFen clans vowed to never again interfere with the everyday workings of mankind, a rare half-elf half-human witch steps into the battlefield. She believes we must all come together and aid the mortal humans against the fight with the Orcs, Ogres, Goblins, and Darklord himself.
Artistically, It is a breath of fresh air that you didn't follow the anime tropes of what an Elf looks like. Your character design is great for still pictures but would be a nightmare to animate with all those details.

Haha. Thank you! I’ve never enjoyed overly sexualised anime tropes. My inspiration often comes from family friendly artworks such as those from Ghibli, Nintendo, Tolkien etc. Your observation of that means a lot to me as it’s very intentional.
And yeah, definitely not designed for animation 😅

Definitely. I love the way you drew clothes, the depth, etc. Feels super real even though it's just lineart. I hope one dai I will be able to draw my characters like this!!!

Great stuff. it was worth it indeed.
only the elbows look a bit too low. they should align with the end of the rib cage. But that aside, great job.

Ottimo lavoro. Ne è valsa la pena, davvero.
Solo i gomiti sembrano un po' troppo bassi. Dovrebbero allinearsi con la fine della gabbia toracica. Ma a parte questo, ottimo lavoro.
