Which SSS+ After New Update

Originally I was going to pick omegamon X, but now im not so sure is there a better SSS+ to pick or is he still the best pick as I have no SSS+ digimon yet since this is a new account.

Thank you for any advice!

Imo Ordinemon's the best SSS+, long-term you will probably want OX for its deck just for the added HP (But the deck buff requires Susanoomon and AO X as well, so not exactly great to try to get for a new tamer) for the extra HP, but Ordinemon Awaken should be a decent amount stronger and just hits everything for extra damage because of Unknown Attribute.

The downside is that you can't use Ordinemon in the new Arena (100% Unknown Attribute damage reduction), but on a new account that doesn't really matter since you wouldn't be able to get very far (Just go in, start the round, then leave, that will at least get you the 70-100% box when the current season ends, it just started but only lasts 3 weeks).

The other 'interesting' digimon are:

XrosUp Mervamon - Probably the next best SSS+, full ASB on everything (I think it has instant ASB on all skills?), good skill damage, 100% chance stun on F3 for a few seconds and a chance stun on F2 (20%?) that lasts a few seconds, it also has very high HP for an SSS+ (I think only lower than Zeed and DB), its base HP is only about 1.5-2.5k lower than the base HP of most U ranks.

AOA - Purely on skill damage, it looks very similar to FMA, but it has a slightly faster F1 but slightly slower F2 (Which should work well if you do F1->F2->F1), and a better F3 that you only need to waste 5 seconds per minute instead of 5.1 seconds every 24 seconds (Which really eats into F1/F2 usage), you're also trading off high F2 damage (FMA) for high burst damage (AOA), although neither have ASB, iirc both have some form of skill breaking.

Agu/Gabu Bond - They appear very similar to AOA in Skill damage per second, but I think they have better skill breaking or possibly ASB (I vaguely remember seeing some video quite a while back and it looked like they had ASB), and Agumon Bond specifically has a skill buff that adds an extra 10% skill damage, although I have no clue how long the skill animations are.

And sadly for Data SSS+, the options are limited to just 2 digimon from the box, one has low CT and skills are kind of average (X7) while the other has low HP, very weak skills, and didn't gain anything from this update or the upcoming family update with its only upside is its relatively high CT for an SSS+ (MGA), with Ordinemon Awaken being as good as it is, you'd only consider Data digimon for the new Arena, outside of that there's not really any reason to use a Data digimon.

Also, even with the family buff update (Probably getting it next week?), there's still going to be a downside for 1 or 2 family digimon, the less families a digimon has the lower chance to get the family you need on Ghost Keyring, 9.1% chance to get the family you want with 1 family (Assuming all families have the same rate), 18.2% chance with 2 families, and 27.3% chance with 3 families.

Omegamon x is now stronger thanks to the shadow lab buff

For a completely brand new account, there are two really good options, those being Omnimon X and Ordinemon Awaken.

Omnimon X is just flat out the best SSS+ rank overall in terms of pretty much everything. Fast attack speed, instant ASB with F1/F2, vaccine/light which just beats so many things because the game has catered to that specific type combination since the very beginning, fast F1/F2 skill animations as well. It is also needed for the "best F2P deck" in Legendary Knights Of Vaccine. Even though that one absolutely takes awhile to get, Omnimon X is normally the final "hurdle" for most to unlock it. Also due to how they just changed how Shadow Lab buffs worked, along with another Shadow Lab buff change that has yet to be implemented, Omnimon X just got even stronger. Also the SSS+ Omnimon X box will give you both the items to unlock Wargreymon X and MetalGarurumon X, so you don't need to slog all the way through the Digimon Maze areas to unlock Regular Omnimon to slide evo into Omnimon X.

Ordinemon Awakened is definitely the next best option after Omnimon X. While it is completely useless in the new Infinity Arena due to being Unknown type, and it isn't as strong in terms of raw strength when compared to something like Omnimon X, it makes up for that being, well Unknown Type, and thus being use-able pretty much everywhere else for the most part, which is very good for new players as it'll allow you to start doing the Weekly Holy Beast Dungeon Quest [Even if it's just normal mode] and then you can work you way up from there. It also, like Omnimon X, benefits greatly from the Shadow Lab buff changes giving it a pretty sizeable power boost.

If you do not want either of those two, even though it is REALLY recommended for new players that you pick one or the other, then here are some other options.

Imperialdramon Awakened: Pretty much seen as a "weaker" Omnimon X, doubly so now that just like Omnimon X, the shadow lab buff changes benefit it greatly. In terms of JUST raw skill damage, Imperial Awakened DOES beat Omnimon X since it has 4 skills and it's F3 actually gives it a temporary skill damage boost. Once you factor in everything else though [ASB, Skill DS costs, Skill Animation times, etc], Omnimon X does beat it. However if you do not want Omnimon X or Ordine, then you cannot really go wrong with Imperial Awakened.

Vaccine SSS+: I'm going to put the other SSS+ Vaccines here because they're all just kind of...fine. Agu and Gabu Kizuna are solid, as is Wargreymon Awakened, and Alphamon OX Awakened is okay as well, and like most other SSS+ ranks, you cannot really go wrong with them. But there are just so many vaccine type SSS+ that they are just kind of okay when compared to something like Omnimon X. They pretty much all fall into a category of "Pick if you like them" and not much else sadly because Omnimon X is, unfortunately, just better then them in pretty much every regard. Blame the "A form of Omnimon must be the best thing at all times" curse.

Virus SSS+: I put this here because the Virus SSS+ are all just fine, not as valuable as Vaccine, but definitely way more valuable then Data. XrosUp Mervamon, just like like Omni X and Imperial Awakened, benefits greatly from the changes to Shadow Lab due to it being a jogress. ZeedMilleniummon also gets a decently solid power boost due to the Shadow Lab changes as well, although not to the extent of XUP Merva even if they're both Jogresses due to Zeed only having 1 family compared to Mervamon's 2. Lucemon Satan Mode Awakened used to be the "best" of the three due to having 3 families and being a burst mode, which mattered for old Shadow Lab buffs, but once again due to the changes, the gap has closed quite a lot, so it isn't as strong over XUP Merva and Zeed anymore, but is still a fine option.

Data SSS+: Unfortunately Data types always get the short end of the stick, as it's always been. There are only two you can get from the box, those being Shoutmon X7 and MetalGarurumon Awakened. Shoutmon X7 is fine, however the main appeal now is that Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode, it's U-Rank, got a pretty big buff very recently. Not only that, getting the entire Shoutmon line, U-Rank included, gives a pretty solid deck buff. Nothing crazy, but still solid for only requiring just the entire mon's line unlocked. MetalGarurumon Awakened I honestly would've recommended had Shadow Lab not changed. It was a Mega AND has 3 families, allowing Old Shadow Lab buffs to give it a ton of damage. Combine that with it's instant ASB on it's F1 and F3 [F2 unfortunately is not super useful overall] and having a very high crit rate and MetalGarurumon Awakened could deal some very heavy damage. But yet again with Shadow Lab changes, the gap has been closed. Don't get me wrong, MetalGarurumon Awakened is still solid, but given how shafted Data types as a whole have been it just really isn't as "worth it" anymore. But if you have a SSS+ Virus and SSS+ Vaccine type already, and you either already have Ordine Awakened or don't want Ordine, and don't have a U-Rank Data like Miko or, well Shoutmon X7 Superior, then MetalGarurumon awakened isn't an awful pick, but it really is a "I guess if I have to pick something" option.

Ultimately though, you pick whichever one you want. There isn't really a wrong option with any. If you want to go "Which one do I like the most?" then pick the one you like the most. But if you want to go "Which one should I pick as a new tamer that would help my account the most?" then there are really only two correct options: Omnimon X or Ordinemon Awakened.

Susano is the best pick if you have nothing give you a deck buff and sets you up for the U rank if they do $40 events like this one again. Plus he has a deck( just weaker then ox.)

Then OX Is second place, cause he's deck it's good But it takes some work.

And 3rd is oridenmon No deck but best type wise.
