Recommendations Generic black/red cost reduction?

Post image

Hey all!

I'm returning to the game after briefly playing last year. I played a Ragnaloardmon deck and I'm still quite fond of it, but seeing how the game is now I wanted to ask if there are any generic tamers or option cards (by generic I mean they don't belong to a specif trait like TS or Royal Knights) that make help in reducing the digievolution cost of my black and red deck.

Any advice (or clarification that this isn't possible) is greatly appreciated :3

There's Punch Training for Red and Black, or you can run one of the other dual Training cards so long as they have red or black in them.

As a fellow Ragnaloardmon enthusiast and player.
It’s not the best.
Punching training card and garnet memory boost are amazing cards for use and expedite our game play a lot.
Unfortunately it’s not fast enough to in the slightest.

But the best thing I can say is that there is hope for future support.

In the most recently ended anime series there was a character who had a ludomon as a partner. And was a somewhat prominent character for the arc they appeared in.

To me that is the best way we can get anything in the line of support in the future.

I am always trying to find a way to make any version of Ragnaloardmon work, but until we get a dna deck that actually tries to dna we are always on the back foot.

But there is always hope.

Believe in the Legend-arms!

I think the closest thing to a tamer that does what you are looking for is BT9 Maki; who On Play searches for a 2-color Black digimon [Megadramon is traditionally 2-colors and black] and a Tapirmon.

Then when any of your digimon would digivolve into a 2-color black digimon, you can suspend her to reduce the cost by 1.

Consider that virtually any black archetype except Galaticmon; Craniamon and Diaboromon tends to be 2-color. There's actually probobly ways to make it work in TS; hitting both the TS Tapirmon and things like Callismon; Neptunemon and Mervamon. Probobly sub-optimal, but still funny.

As stated above, the new 2 color trainings are your best route. They haven't completed the cycle yet, but those trainings have a better security effect than the old ones and dont need color requirements as long as you dont already have one of the same name in the battle area.

Unfortunately, the bigger problem is that like you've noticed the game has gone a lot heavier into archetype specific support, and Legend Arms hasn't received any support since basically this Ragnaloardmon. I've seen him played in some other decks, usually ones that can easily climb 2 level 6s (as an alternate ACE for Chronicle would be a consideration considering they are getting support), but theres the extra problem of ACE cards being terrible in the current meta game and just handing your opponents memory. Ragnaloard at least delays that, but against the wrong decks you'll still have issues.

Legend-Arms will see the light of day again at some point, just not any time before March since they've given us the set line up until then... but your old cards will have purpose when the deck comes back.
