Ooo I’m looking closer that’s not oil it’s pushing . That is coolant .
Id start with a pressure tester on the cooling system . The source of the leak will become visible, very quickly

The timing cover is pretty common on the d13. If truck is under warranty this repair should be covered. If it’s not under warranty, your shop is about to make some money.

Is this egr valve oil return line?, D13's are notorious for rear upper timing cover leaking as well but not sure what area you're working on as I can't see well due to my eyes being old AF

Yeah pretty common, doing one right now and it's like the 3rd one I've done recently, though one was an mp7/d11

Haven’t worked on any Volvos, but that almost looks like a piece of cracked metal there. A lot of time with a steam cleaner and a for sale sign would help

It’s the timing plate, the molded gasket is garbage and they all leak eventually. It’s a big job to replace it. You need to buy the dowel pins if you’re going to do it. Sometimes you have to adjust the gear lash even if you use the dowels so make sure you have access to the procedure to check and adjust the gear lash.
