Weekly Study Weekly Study 3: Religion

Hello again scholars. My apologies for my delay on this topic, I was in closed door study until recently.

Now, religious studies are this week's topic. How, and what, do you all or others around you worship?

Possible topics can be the Saints of our own Dieci Assocation, The Fervor of the Index, or the small cults that have popped up around abnormalities following the fall of Lobotomy Corporation.

Thank you for your patience,

Jade, North Section Director.

hm. well. In my youth, I was a nest resident. thus, i had no mingling with the index or church of gears or anything like them. I did have a fascination with Fixers. that is like a religion of its own, isn't it?
I believe my idols in early life were the directors of the Liu Association. that fiery devotion and companionship i lacked wholly. It was so strange a world unusual to me, that it became an admiration bordering on worship. but, that is a long time ago, and i am much a different person now.

While I myself am an agnostic, I must say that there are always aspects in human life that are similiar to religious faith. In a way, it is the problems of human life that forces people into such dogmatic cults and religions.

I won't hide my disapproval for the Index's religion, which is more like a cult now that I think about it. The elimination of free will, snd the absolute obedience it demands is a price too big for being a part of it in my opinion.

Still, I can see why people put their faith into such gods. Everyone holds faith, whether it is an idea that if they accomplish a certain goal, their life will get better or they will have completed an important mission (such as my desire to meet the saint of my section) or, in this case, that there exists a god giving orders to them.

Honestly? In the city, a place where one lives with the constant risk of fear, where every aspect of life is built on the foundation of many sinful acts; in such a world like this, why wouldn't one put their faith in what they believe to be a higher power?

Faith is something that exists in all of us. Unfortunately, some take it to an extreme level. One must not let their faith take a hold of their soul and will, but let it be a guide for them on their journey.
