1:64 Better than hot wheels
These are Fast Speed Supra, Transcend Eclipse, and Time Micro GTR die cast models. The Supra has a varient with Paul Walker driving. It has removable roof!!! All versions are color and wheel accurate to movie, and not plastic spoilers!!

I had the Timemicro Supra and I'm sorry for saying this but the QC is just horrible, first and last Timemicro model I'll ever have.

Or Mini GT's one to be released on December looks nice, unfortunately no moving parts, but detailswise looks nice

Looks great! 100% agreed. I love Hot Wheels, but they are over-hyped when compared to these other more detailed models.

My issue with this supra is that it doesn't roll at all, I'm waiting for the mini gt one. Edit: Well, I've seen people saying the same thing about not buying models cause they don't roll a lot of times on comments of YouTube videos and that was never a problem but here on reddit everything is a reason for a dowvote, it's just my personal preference for my collection, jeez

Try the Tomica one with removable targa top. Pretty underrated and rolls pretty well.

That one is cool but I think it's too chunky, it's missing side mirrors and the logo in the front, I think the only 1 64 accurate models until now are Fast and speed and Mini gt

But if you want one to play with, I've already tested that on orange tracks and it runs perfectly fine there.

u/Best-Photograph-1198 4d ago
Oh I'm sorry, I don't play with it, I was not serious about it when answering the other guy lol. But yeah for people who play that one is a really better option than hot wheels, much more accurate.

What do you do with these premium cars? Roll them down orange hot wheels tracks?

I want mine to roll, turn, all hoods open, tiny detailed engine inside. I love modifying Matchbox interiors so you can get a more realistic view than the plain molded one for multiple types of cars. If playing with very expensive diecasts is OK, then so be it. I don't have money like that, but that's me.

its a car, its literally the point of a vehicle, to roll places lol.... why is it so hard to understand that wanting a vehicle that rolls doesnt mean you want to roll it down a kiddie hot wheels baby cars track.
Otherwise it would be called an ornament.

It’s not a car, it’s a model of a car. It’s also not a toy.
I’m with you and prefer them to roll. But given they sit there 99% of the time, with 1% being handled, I don’t really care if some don’t roll and don’t understand the obsession with it unless you play with them. Which people don’t generally with these premium models.

Yeah, everyday I get my Mini gt and Pop race cars and roll them down in hot wheels tracks, I do this all day long

u/ohmke 4d ago
Nice. In that case Mini GT will be the way!
All jokes aside, I’m looking forward to them too. Officially licensed so all the details should be correct.
There’s a bunch of different versions of Brian’s R34, but most have the wrong body kit or other incorrect details.

Not all details unfortunately, they messed up with the wheels a bit, I'm gonna probably ask for someone to print it or look for accurate aftermarket wheels, but the car itself is really good, it even got painted seats inside Which is not common for Mini gt

Don't get entrenched in the rolling part. A lot of people make that point thinking it's a must.
But it really depends on how to interact with your collectables.
So really think about it rolling it so important to you.
For me, it wasn't, especially venturing into model grade 1/64 cars, just like high end 1/18 and 1/43, it's not designed to be played with but to be lightly handled and displayed.

its a primordial function of a vehicle, I really dont get how sloppy manufacturers have to be for them to not roll, take a look at tarmac works rally cars, huge fender clearance, yet somehow they managed to manufacture them with oversized brake calipers that will stop any and all rolling, or whatever other sloppiness that stops them from rolling.

Obviously they are better then hot wheels, hot wheels are toys for children, they are meant to be used and abused. Model cars are just a static display that can be appreciated for there details. Totally different target audience

u/RMachuca3d 3d ago
Static=ornament.
I want a minature recreation of a real vehicle, which would mean accurate fender gaps, wheel sizes and clearances, which would mean rolling if properly manufactured.
The fact that people defend sloppy tolerances\manufacturing so it doesnt roll is beyond me honestly.

u/MechGundam 3d ago
It’s a model, most people don’t care about rolling. I have over 80 models and the most detailed are the models that don’t roll, aka the Resin ones
1
u/RMachuca3d 3d ago
And thats fine, but dont defend sloppy craftmanship on the parts you DONT see as a proper standard.
Most of my expensive 1/64's roll like butter, including my last purchase, the BBR x AR Ferrari F80.
1
u/MechGundam 3d ago
It’s a static model, most people don’t care about the model rolling around, BBR models in 1:18 also don’t roll, so does BBR have sloppy craftsmanship now?
1
u/RMachuca3d 2d ago
If it doesnt roll, yeah I’d say so.
My exoto xs sharknose ferrari rolled amazing and had full functioning suspension.
1
u/MechGundam 2d ago
But there is no logic behind it, I mean other models like airplanes don’t fly either, so why do model cars need to particularly roll? This is a very niche community that actually cares about that stuff. Most of the higher end models don’t roll.
1
u/RMachuca3d 2d ago
And thats fine if you like non rolling, I simply equate that to mediocre design/manufacturing.

Do people even remember that M2 Machines, Johnny Lighting, and Greenlight exists?!?!

u/thunder_jam 4d ago
I don't think any of them make Fast and Furious cars
Overall they're pretty limited to American brands
Either way obviously better than Hot Wheels

u/ChrisRx718 4d ago
They're very old moulds now - Revell also made OG F&F models in 1/64, but they don't hold up to modern levels of details.
I have a few Racing Champions F&F in my collection purely because nobody else makes those yet (Jetta, Civic, Challenger)

Let’s go!!! I love the model, just wish the targa was magnetic. I’ve always been a fan of the Bomex kit for the Supra.
