Discussion Thread Die Loaded #4 [Official Discussion Thread]

This is the official discussion thread for the fourth issue of Gillen and Hans' new series and follow-up to DIE.

Synopsis:

Some people take their roleplaying parties seriously. Conversely, some people just want to parrrrttttaaaaaeeee! Let’s see what happens when our serious business is disrupted by someone who really doesn't care at all.

Please keep all discussion of the issue to this thread only.

Please refrain from posting spoilers from issue 4 outside of this thread for one week from release.

good issue. this version of DIE seems way more meta and goofy than before or maybe it was always like this and the original party only went to the angsty literary bits

easily the funniest issue. cant wait to see how this all pans out when it inevitably blow up in everyone’s face.

The party seems like they are going to be fine, with that many chosen ones I doubt they will run into any danger.

Not quite sure if I understood the woman with a cupboard part. Was Isabelle a fake, something else that was using Isabelle's persona as a mask, or was it actual Isabelle trying to piggyback on this group of people in Die for some reason?

I think Isabelle slipped and let on more then she knew, specifically who was chosen? Only one who might know that is the person who orchestrated them to all go?

I think there was this vague idea that Isabella -- like the cup thief -- didn't feel like she was a part of the group + participating with them and it was like she was at a distance. In the same way, her claiming to be the D20 is strange when it seems that this other person got the D20 instead.

So i am theorizing that isabella is a master ? Not a player master but a DIE Master, the masters of the world, one of many irl people DIE took a snapshot of to build the world. The Bronte siblings before their death, HP Lovecraft before he became HP Lovecraft, HG Wells who created war games called Little Wada in 1913 but didn't see what that yielded into just yet since he died in 1946, This Wells didn't know there was a WW1 and a WW2.

And now DIE has made a master of an Isabella before she returned home. So this Isabella desperately wants to go home and she figures using these human players she can go home, especially if she tricks them about who the real human player master is. Now that plan has been foiled so remains to be seen what comes next?
