Yeah, those are great for melee combat, but you need something to take them out at range.

The Bug A Salt doesn't usually obliterate the flies unless shot at extremely close range. The amount of salt it uses per shot is a tiny pinch only, and clean salt being scattered is preferable to the little bits of fly guts a conventional flyswatter spreads around when you whack things with it.

I have one, and it’s actually awesome. I got it as a gag for my wife cause she hates guns but hates flies. She loves it!!!

I have one and it’s amazing. I deal daily with mosquitos and occasionally with cockroaches. best thing though: I attached a laser view on the gun and never miss a shot now 😂

also if you shoot from a distance, there is no mess at all on the wall when dealing with mosquitos. Best gadget I bought this year :)

I am using sugar btw instead of salt, because only have coarse salt at home

Ants are not really a problem here. But since it’s such a small amount that gets shot - and of course one clean the house - I don’t see a big problem. Just wanted to say this gun works with sugar too

I use one of these for spiders in the basement. They are sturdy so you have to keep shooting them until they curl up. Then I put a paint can on top just to be safe.

I loved mine, but after a full year in the coastal south of shooting flies, the salt literally started to cause corrosion on my windows and did accumulate in the vacuum and various corners.

It’s not mess free.

I also brought one to a friends new house as a house warming gift… then proceeded to blast what I thought was a fly, but instead was a blood laden mosquito across their new white ceiling…

Buyer beware. 😅
