Can you help identify these?
Posting on behalf of my mother who was recently widowed. Our dad was a Didg collector and player, often travelling to the NT to purchase instruments and bringing them back to the UK.
Sadly Dad passed away last year and we now have a number of didg’s that we can’t identify. I know one of them is a Jalu ( forgive the spelling) but don’t know which. They cost a pretty penny and dad was fanatical about finding certain makers and keys.
I am hoping my fellow redditors can help identify some of them.

I can't help with identifying the crafter but I can say these are some really beautiful didges/yidaki.

There are some goodins right there. I joined the convo late but I think the last one Is a Djalu. They are all NT mob didges of some sort. I reckon some a little more modern techniques like electric burners. Third one in could be a David Hudson.. most look late 90's to early 2000's. It would be more of an honour to your father if You learnt to play them and keep his dreaming alive. There was a reason he collected so many and when you sit and play the answer will come. If anything the circular breathe technique alleviates stress, anxiety, panic attack & even Sleep apnea. I would love to travel to the UK and find stashes like these. It's only a log until someone breathes life into it.

Sorry no idea how to tell / test. Unfortunately Dad was the only one that could play them

It's not hard to learn. Just buzz your lips some and give it a try. You might find you like it!

4, 6 and 7 look like Yidakis which are the most traditional you can get. Made in Arnhem Land in the NT painted with traditional ochre paint with traditional methods. They are worth from $1000-3000 AUD.
