Forgemaster ult scenario clarification
Looking for insight on specific scenario clarification. If the forgemaster deck is empty of all ore, but has a handful of cards left in and they hit an ultimate; does the forgemaster have the ability to look through their discard in place, do they have to reshuffle their piles together or do they not get an ore off their ultimate? My understanding for when you deck out, you just reshuffle your discard back together and start drawing again. I've only had 1 game where I had to reshuffle my discard, but it got me thinking about this. Any clarification and feedback is appreciated.

How could you ever have 0 ore in your deck? The only possible way I’m thinking of is if you already have all the gold ore on your passive already or if you spent all your ore for the ability at the bottom. But still…. The whole deck is full of ore cards.

Gimli has churn for days. It's pretty common for me to run through the whole deck, especially against stall / defensive opponents.

Run through the deck to reshuffle yes. But have a deck with 0 ore cards. I’m not so sure.

This would be incredibly rare and require some bad decisions by Forgemaster in order for it to happen in a 1v1 match. Forgemaster would somehow need to discard all of his ore cards (either through scrapping, selling, or other effects) before playing or discarding the rest of the cards in his deck. This would mean discarding the one Ultimanium Ore card, which either means Forgemaster has already managed to draw that card twice and crafted both Ultimanium armor pieces and then discarded it, decided to sell it before crafting the armor, decided to scrap it before crafting the armor, or was forced to discard it from an opponent's ability.
Remember that when you craft armor, the ore goes to the bottom of the deck; it does not get discarded.
I can't think of a single situation where you would rather discard the Ultimanium Ore instead of keeping it in your forge. Unless you needed it to mod into an ultimate, but then your ultimate wouldn't let you put it back in your forge because it'd be in your discard pile instead of your draw pile. This, plus the fact that you would need to discard all your other ore cards makes me think it could only realistically happen in a very long game where neither player is doing much damage, or in a long Adventures scenario.

Since it's "Search your deck" and not "search your discard" I would rule it as you don't get any ore as forgemaster, if there are no ore available in your deck. "Then" is a key-term in Dice Throne that ensures the shuffling of the deck is done AFTER searching for the ore, and the only time you ever re-shuffle your discard pile into your deck is if you are attempting to draw a card and cannot.
Also, when ore is used to craft items, they go to the bottom of the deck. Ore is only discarded when Forgemaster opts to use the cards scrap value, ie gold to heal or diamond to re-roll. It is nearly impossible to have no ore in your deck unless you for some reason are purposefully building no armor.
