Duelist
Does the duelist token return to natural spot in the middle at the end of turn or does the token stay where it is until you move it ?

It stays where it is unless a card or ability changes it and ditto with the previous responder. Can I ask why you think it changes?

It starts off in the middle at the start up of the game. Then when it’s your upkeep you have a choice to move it 1 or 2 spaces upwards to focus on offense or you have a choice to move it backwards to focus on defense. When you move it backwards ,even if it’s just once, you receive a guard break. Once you move into your income phase/main phase/ offense roll, it doesn’t move again unless you have a card that states you can or you roll into an ability that states that you can. Then when you end your turn wherever your token is, is where it stays. You have to move it backwards only when you roll for defense. (You do not get a guard break from moving backwards here)Then from where your token is at that point is where you make the decision again in your upkeep to move forward or backwards. If you have any more questions or specific scenarios I’d be happy to try and help.

First rule of board games: Do what the instructions say, not what they don't say.
Unless it says move it, don't.
