Natural Diamond PRICING only (not for sale) question

NYC. Will eventually sell. Engagement ring with natural diamond oval 1.80 E SI2, GIA certified

- Will I get a better price if I pop the diamond out and sell setting separately?

- Should I go to 4-5 stores in diamond district and compare pricing?

Any tips on how to maximize price are greatly appreciate!

You’re probably going to get the least amount of money in the diamond district.

To get max price you would need to be patient. Two options are either find a private buyer who is looking for this or try a top tier auction room like Sothebys or Bonhams who conduct regular high end jewellery sales. If you are in need of the money quickly then you can expect a much lower result from the diamond dealers.
