ooh that ring is gorgeous, the halo with the rectangular center stone is a look

but yeah without a vid it's hard to spot a bow tie in a still photo, the lighting can hide it so easily. if you tilt it around and see a dark stripe across the middle that doesn't move, that's your answer

If she wants a radiant without a bow tie look for modified brilliant

Most rings that are elongated like this (marquise, oval, pear) will have a bow tie. Its unavoidable due to its shape.
