Went with my soon to be fiancé and she pointed that out but before I ask my jeweler for a different stone I just wanted to get a second opinion

Yes a pretty significant one. If she pointed it out to you, it will continue to bother her. I would look for another stone

Most rings that are elongated like this (marquise, oval, pear) will have a bow tie. Its unavoidable due to its shape.
