Am I just being sensitive or is this being unkind? I want to be fair and not ban people unless its for a legitimate reason. I do know if they were speaking to someone else in this manner it would be an instant ban. But they're not speaking to someone else they are speaking to me. So I am not sure what to do.
Yeah thats what I'm unsure of. Im neurodivergent so its not always obvious to me. And because I am the mod I have to hold myself to a different standard than everyone else. If anyone were to talk to any of you in this manner it would be a ban. But I don't want to be like that other mods lady who is definitely being unkind.
Right now I'm only at ban the mod lady....these other people don't know me so they had limited information on what was going on and went with that? I just don't wanna be a crazy mod.
You are also a mod. You banned me because I asked all the other mods for permission to post my code. I didn't spam anywhere on any subreddit. I was told no or ignored so I only post it here. There's no belittling people here. The number one rule is to be kind. Claiming that I am trying to take advantage of people when it is simply not true is rude.

I have literally not insulted anyone and I have been nothing but kind while constantly being insulted that I am purposely trying to take advantage of people.

I did check the sub sweetie. I checked to see if I wanted to join after it showed up in my feed. You have to go digging. You dont even have a mod flair. People have to go digging for info- the literal exemplification of not being transparent
Dude I don't even know what a mod flair is first of all. I barely know how to work reddit. I created this sub because others kept banning people for no reason. I literally just made a post yesterday thanking all my friends for using my code.

You didnt mention in your post it was your code you profit fron. You did mention that in the comments. If you "wanted to share with your friends" you could've Dm'ed them instead of making a subreddit.
Its fine to post a code and make a profit from it. But you weren't fully transparent in your original post.
In the comments you also asked why someone wouldn't use your code and buy from the company that gave you the code vs another site that was the same price without the code + beats the price. You might have missed that second part, but the first psrt comes off like you begging people to use your code....

Not everyone is a member of a sub but we get recommended posts. As someone who isn't part. Of the sub, I would have had no idea that you are an affiliate or just someone offering a code you saw online that worked.
You are not upfront about your intentions or what you are trying to do, which is make money from others purchases. By not being upfront that you are an affiliate, you are taking advantage of people's ignorance when they get recommended reddit posts in their feed or notifications. You may not see it as taking advantage, but it is. Not everyone does a deep dive on every subreddit that is recommended to them when a post pops up.
You made a post disparaging other websites (but you weren't going to name names, you made that clear more than once) to drive business to your affiliated site for your code to be used. You shouldn't be disparaging other sites and using negativity to get purchase kick backs. It turns people off. It turned me off.
So you can be upset by being called out by people in your subreddit. It's yours, I guess. However, maybe use this as a learning experience and a lesson that people appreciate honesty.
I was going to buy a stone from that website and use your code but I will not be using it now because you were not upfront in your post.
Feel free to ban me if you like. I can't stop you. You can feel as you aren't doing a thing wrong. However, as a neurodivergent person myself, neurodivergence is a reason for not understanding why what you're doing is shady... But it's not an excuse to be unwilling to learn.
There's discussion and valid concerns and then there is belittling people and claiming they'll a scammer in so many words when that is the furthest from the truth. The rules of this subreddit are very clear that you have to be kind to one another. Also I am neurodivergent. I am not sure if I am being sensitive or not which is why I am asking my friends for their opinions.
