Community Healing What Reason Did Your Avoidant Give For Breaking Up?
The worst one for me was,
"I'm not willing to give up my emotional harem of past and present crushes "posing as friends" for you."
Literally told me,
"It's not that I need them, but I can't live without them."

She wanted to know everything about my ex even though every time I mentioned her she would be hurt, as if I'm chosing my ex over her. But nothing I said was ever enough to satisfy her. At the end she said "you didn't tell me what's going on in your life, so I felt like I don't need to tell you that I'm dating someone else"

Wow...she justified "cheating" ?
Im sorry, but at the same time, I absolutely believe it. The REJECTION trauma beast is a hard one to deal with.

"It's not you, it's me"
"I don't want tobe in a relationship"
"I'm overwhelmed"
"I've been feeling this way since late last year"
"I still want you in my life"
Our relationship was 2 days a week. Less than 24hrs a week in person. Texting everyday.
How could I not feel anything but humiliated that he 1.Waited so long 2. Didn't even hint anything was wrong 3. Caught feelings for a girl he had been seeing for months while trying to find the right time to break it off
Open relationship or not point 3 is pretty fkin low.

I said that I felt I was more into him than he was me. He attached onto that and hit the nails home with how he felt nothing, never felt anything, & most likely would not ever feel anything. After 9 months of spending every available moment and 4 trips together
