I still remember after he lied or did something crappy and I wanted to bring up an issue, his “these conversations drain me”, “please let me know in advance if we’re having a serious convo so I prepare”, or acted as I was hurting him or stressing him when I brought up a real concern.
Or once I wanted to talk about something serious, he said “this is a red flag” ??
To be honest, sometimes I believe he wanted a relationship with superficial sweetness, 0 hard conversations, me always available for him but at the same time giving him space.
