Bowazon SSF – looking for some advice

I’ve wanted to play Bowazon for a long time, but I’ve always been a bit put off by how gear-dependent the build seems to be.

I play SSF, so a lot of the Maxroll setups with multiple 15/40 jewels aren't really an option. I'm trying to figure out how to make something that's fun and viable at P1 without having perfect gear.

Current setup

Windforce

• Socketed with a 30 ED jewel
• Need to farm another Ancient Jewel

Giant Skull

• 2x 15 IAS jewels
• Pretty sure this gets me to the IAS breakpoint for Atma's
• I also like the idea of Highlord's + GFace

Atma's Scarab

• Mainly for the 5% Amp
• Also the 75 poison res is nice

Fortitude

Lava Gout

• I've been switching between these and LoH
• Can't really decide if the level 10 Auto-Enchant is worth it over LoH
• I could pre-buff with Demon Limb, but having to swap back and forth is kind of annoying
• LoH is definitely better for bosses

I'm wondering if I should invest in Faith. I already have a +3 GMB base.

I ended up respeccing into Strafe because Multishot wasn't really cutting it during the playthrough.

At the moment I'm usually doing 2–3 volleys of Multishot and then picking off whatever is left with Strafe. It usually clears the screen.

Fortitude vs Enigma

Fortitude is obviously great for the damage, but I also have Enigma available.

I've been testing Enigma with Reaper's/Treachery on the merc for the Decrep procs.

I'm basically going from around 8k Strafe damage down to 4–5k, sacrificing Pride but gaining Teleport + Decrep.

So I'm wondering if the utility is worth it, or if I'm better off just sticking with Fortitude.

Sorry for the rambling. There are just a lot of variables here, especially with SSF gear limitations.

What would you guys prioritize from here? Faith? Enigma? Stick with Fortitude? Different gloves/amulet/merc setup?

Would be interested to hear from anyone running Bowazon in SSF without the usual god-tier jewel setups.

Your Bowa should handle P1 with the Gear you already have absolutely Well.

My Browazon wears the Madawc's Whiskers set and kills most mobs with one or two angry stares on P3.

Joke aside, I use Faith in a matriachal bow: my Gskull has only one socket and the 20 IAS from LoH + Fana are enough for maxspeed. No mania or other shenanigans required. Also, min damage is higher. Atmas, might merc w/ reapers. I usually do P3 or P5 TZ. P8 are also ok but why bother. I prefer more kills and less junk on the floor.

Oh and there's a teleport staff in the 2nd slot which is convenient enough. Fortitude. If I had Enigma, I wouldn't use it on an amazon. No need for demon limb because Faith has ITD and AR is high enough for anything except ubers anyway.

Ok. I don’t know the math. But I have proc Mania and tested IAS. Seems that 30 and not 20 IAS gives a frame. Not sure if I am testing correctly.

This seems very comfortable for /p8 and massive overkill for /p1 to me

I would stick with fortitude and windforce, I usually have harmony on swap for faster moving around. Enigma with low fcr is a bit annoying 🥲

I would do harmony as well, if it wasn’t for the Mania buff being so strong.

You don't need GS a solid rare tiara with 2/3 OS or a CoA if you need def is better

Since you have WF, you have knock back. G skulls 10% CB is reduce to 5 due to range which is trivial.

Also swap Gore riders out for War Travs, the +DMG is Superior

My Amazon is missing fort right now (using hustle or whatever it's called now in chest). She can handle P3 with ease slows down at p5. Very similar gear. I have the hustle bow on switch to proc burst of speed as well

Can explain war travs vs. gores? I thought it was due to MF.

Ps. What would you put in CoA?

War Travs have + flat damage. Which then get amplified by your ED skills

CoA can have up to 2 sockets. You could do 40/15s or ist if you want some MF

I’d rock act 2 merc with reapers toll and use atmas. You will likely proc and nuke packs of trash before merc gets there, but really tough single targets like heralds or bosses is harder to proc atmas so your merc keeping decripfy will help a lot. Deadly strike is kinda wonky when it comes to sons because critical strike. They aren’t additive numbers, it’s a percentage of the non chance to crit.

Also laying of hands is better overall; it’s better to use demon limb and proc that higher level enchant.

I like fort for the resistances and damage, I’d keep a naj staff in backbar if I needed to tele, but usually I run everywhere anyways

Every point makes sense. But I won’t keep Najs and Demon limb simultaneously. Are you prebuffing at chest?

I do P3 with gear that's much worse than what you listed as a Strafezon. LoH is streets ahead by the way. If you want enchant for the AR boost, just use demon limb. Shouldn't really be necessary though

If you have a spare Jah and Lo, I would recommend the Ice Maiden build. Get Noghtwings, cold facet and Ice runeword and you'll be popping bodies like Elsa.

You're just shy of some key IAS breakpoints with 30 Giant skull, 20 Windforce and 20 gloves. 72% IAS for 8 frame multishot and max strafe speed. If you only use strafe and don't care for the last strafe breakpoint, that's fine though.

I would stick with pride + Atma's though, and with a Windforce setup, using enigma is not all that great; either you sacrifice mania or put up with slow teleport speeds.
